Our product so far..

Just a brief introduction: We are Team 2 (aka Defensive Designs) and we came up with an awesome idea of a self-defense necklace/pendant. Inside the pendant is a high decibel alarm which would go off when the pin attached in it is pulled out. There's also a visible UV spray which would be of great help in identifying the attacker.

Originally our team has already a general idea of how the pendant looks and what its size would be, but things are starting to change. We are not sure if the canister, if we're getting an aerosol one, would be small enough to fit in the pendant, and if the liquid inside would be enough to drive attackers away. And when these could work as we wanted them to work, would the chip and batteries fit as well...? So we've started (and are still in the process of) brainstorming alternatives for the pendant design, and I have to call up suppliers in China! :D

On top of that, we are stuck naming our product. A few of my teammates came up with pretty catchy names, though we haven't decided which one to use. I haven't come up with one that I really like, but then the thought of mythology came to me. I googled "God of Safety" and it led me to "Soteria" which was the Greek Goddess of safety and of deliverance. But then I realized who would know Soteria unless they looked her up.. So much for classical studies..

Other than that, I think we're in good shape with team assignments.
